Sports

At S.G.G.S. School, we believe that a healthy body nurtures a healthy mind. Our comprehensive sports program is designed to instill discipline, teamwork, and resilience in every student. From foundational physical training to competitive organized games, we provide inclusive opportunities for both boys and girls across all age groups. Students engage in regular practice sessions every morning and evening, fostering a culture of consistent physical activity and school spirit.

Our Sporting Facilities - We take pride in offering a diverse range of athletic disciplines, supported by dedicated coaching and quality infrastructure.

Field Sports: Hockey and Football,

Court Sports: Basketball, Volley Ball, Badminton, and Hand Ball.

Combat & Traditional Sports: Kabaddi, Kho-Kho,Taekwondo and Gatka.

Mind & Body: Integrated Yoga and Gymnastics.

A Legacy of Champions - Our athletes consistently represent the school at the highest levels, bringing home accolades from State, National and International arenas. Notable highlights from our legacy include:

State Excellence - Our U-19 team in Kabaddi (Boys), Kho-Kho U-19 (Boys & Girls), Hockey (Boys & Girls), Gatka U 17 & U19 (Boys & Girls), Badminton U17 & U19 (Girls) and Yoga secured Various Medals at the 2025 Inter School State Tournaments..

National Excellence participation – Gurseerat of our School Won Gold at National Games in Boxing, 14 students of our school participated in national school games in Hockey. 3 students of our school participated in national school games in Kabaddi, 5 students of our school participated in national school games in Kho kho, 5 students of our school participated in national school games in football.

International Excellence–Gurseerat of Our School won Gold medal at Asian championship of Boxing at Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Krishpal of our school won Bronze Medal at World Boxing championship at USA.

Distinguished Alumni - world-class athletes who have represented India on the international stage:

S. Rajpal Singh: Former Captain of the Indian Hockey Team.

Paramjit Singh: International Cricket Player, representing the nation in tournaments abroad, including Nepal.
